Method and device for cutting and compacting picked-up material during scarifying

Once the material has been removed from the grass during scarifying it is compacted by the same tools in a duct whereby it is first pulverised by interacting with the lower boundary of the duct, stripped as it continues through the upper duct boundary and then compressed in a pressing channel (5) through the resistance of the channel walls and the material already present there. It is then forced into a container (13) or sack which directly adjoins same. AS the scarifying tools pass through the upper channel boundary the stripping angle between its working side and the channel boundary is equal to or slightly less than 90 degrees. The material is torn along and squashed through the tips of the scarifying tools.
