The invention relates to a process of preparing nano-zeolite ZSM-5 having an increased outer surface by means of crystallization of silylated nuclei, comprising the steps of: preparing a synthesis mixture with a nano-zeolite ZSM-5 precursor composition; silylating the mixture by the addition of and reaction with a silylating agent at a molar concentration of between 0.1 and 15% in relation to the total silicon and aluminum content; crystallizing at 70-200°C; and separating the solid by means of centrifugation, filtration or evaporation of the solvent.
