PURPOSE: Provided is a height regulating apparatus to allow a user to entirely regulate the height of a desk and chair by a simple manipulation, and thus to raise studying efficiency and to assist harmonious development of the physique. CONSTITUTION: The height regulating apparatus includes a support leg(1) which is engaged with a backing member(2) to regulate the height of the desk and chair. The support leg is provided with multiple fitting holes(11) spaced at certain pitch from each other. The backing member is provided with a pair of fixing holes(21) which are communicated with the fitting holes. A supporting member(3) is inserted from the fitting hole to the fixing hole and includes a first supporting projection(32) and a second projection(32') provided at an upper and lower portions of a body thereof, respectively. The tips of the first and second supporting projection are engaged with a fixing member(4) which is formed with a first catching hole(421) and a second catching hole(431). The first catching hole is caught in the first supporting projection, and the second catching hole is caught in the second supporting projection.
