PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of catalyst-doped SnO2 powder for semiconductor gas sensors excellent in detection of gases at low temperatures by mixing SnO2 powder with catalyst solution, drying and thermal treating. CONSTITUTION: The catalyst-doped SnO2 powder(2-15nm size) is prepared by the following steps of: mixing SnO2 powder with catalyst solution obtained by dissolving Pt/Pd-contained organic compounds such as palladium acetate and palladium(platinum) acetylacetonate in organic solvents such as acetone, iso-propanol and ethanol, wherein the amount of catalyst materials is 0.5-20wt.%, based on SnO2 powder; drying at 0-50deg.C to increase adherence between catalyst and SnO2 powder; and thermal treating at 250-300deg.C.
