REMOTE FOR A DIGITAL OPTICAL MOBILE REPEATER NETWORK AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC SWITCHING OF AN OPTICAL SWITCH OF THE REMOTE AND METHOD FOR SELF-RECOVERY OF THE REMOTE
A remote of a mobile communication network optical repeater, a method for automatically restoring an optical switch switched in the same, and a self-diagnostic method of a transmission line in the same are provided to enable a selector to output a signal, inputted through the second input port, through an output port when errors occur, thereby automatically switching the optical switch during a signal failure as well as power fail and automatically restoring the optical switch by passing through a self-diagnostic process by using the switched optical switch. A remote(300) mobile communication network optical repeater comprises the followings: an optical switch(310); the first BD-OTRX(Bidirectional Optical Transmitter and Receiver)(321); the first SerDes(Serializer/Deserializer); a selector(381); the second SerDes(322); the first reframer(341); the second reframer(342); a sum unit(360); a framer(350); and a controller(370). In a normal state, the selector(381) outputs a low-speed parallel signal, outputted from the first SerDes, through the first input port and an output port. When errors occur, the selector(381) outputs a signal, inputted through the second input port, through the output port. The controller(370) is reported about the generation of a failure and converts states of the optical switch(310) and selector(381) when errors occur. Even in a self-diagnostic process for determining an auto recovery time point, the controller(370) receives a report about whether there are errors in each device and determines a point of time for automatically converting the optical switch(310) into a normal state.
