FIELD: processes and apparatuses for continuous casting of steel and deforming it to slab or shaped section.;SUBSTANCE: stages of secondary cooling of billet and supporting it are matched with state of cooling of billet cross section taking into account kinds of steel. Geometry size of secondary cooling apparatus corresponds to profile of billet solidification along respective length of billet motion path. Supports of billet are decreased depending upon solidification profile of billet respectively along next length portion of billet motion path. Invention allows match stage of secondary cooling, supports of billet and its deformation temperature in such a way that its is possible to cast even hard-to-cast steels for which porosity degree and segregation have important meaning at further processing and usage of steels.;EFFECT: enhanced surface quality of steel billets.;17 cl, 6 dwg
