The block comprises a highly-viscous, thixotropic product in a food-compatible sheet-plastic bag or sack having a wall thickness of 60-125 mu m. The bag is filled with the sugar product at a temperature of 45-70[deg]C excluding air inclusions. It is sealed airtight on all sides. The length : width : height ratios are expressed by: 1-0.35 : 1-0.1 : 0.3. Further alternative dimensional ratios are proposed. Weight per bag of product, is 8-15 kg. Preferred dimensions are: length 420-480, width 400-450, and height 50-100 mm.
