The system has a signal source (17) to allocate audio-surround signals (16) to signal processing device (22) which further processes the signals and separate them in a main audio channel (34) and a surround channel (26). Speakers (5,7,9) render main audio channel signals to the user (3). A headphone (21) renders the surround channel signals received by the processing unit (25) of the processing device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Stepwise procedure for rendering audio-surround signals; (B) Headphone for use in the system; and (C) Signal processing device for use in the system.
