The puncher has a lever mechanism with a crankshaft (9), and a lever unit (4) per punching die (1) with a guide (2). The lever unit is threaded on the crankshaft. A position sensor has a cam control gear integrated in the crankshaft and a standard micro switch designed as a cam switch. A control unit (13) monitors the condition of a motor and controls the forward and reverse motion of the motor. An independent claim is also included for a usage of an electrical puncher for single-handed, fully automated punching and sewing of a material to be processed.
