The regulator uses a burning time and a stopping time of a heating system for generation of a control value to regulate an internal temperature of the system that includes a heating pump. The regulator determines correlation between the time and temperature of a burner in the system. A control point for the burner with multi stage or modulating operation is used for the generation of the value.
