Rosary (1) has five prayer groups (2) each with ten prayer elements (3), five middle parts (4,5) between every two prayer groups, and a starting part (10). At least one middle part is detachably connected to the rosary by means of a couple of fastening pieces (6) which are fastened at one end (7) of both prayer groups next to the middle parts. The fastening pieces are spring safety hooks. At least one of the middle parts must have two receiving parts (8) corresponding to the fastening pieces, in the shape of entrance openings or eyes.
