A wire antenna (WA) (9) is coiled round a burner (18) tube (6) made from quartz/translucent ceramic/polycrystalline aluminum oxide with two ends (7,8). The WA fits on the burner's external surface. Two electrodes (10,11) protrude into the burner tube with both their ends (4,5).
