The machine includes a welding equipment for joining a spiral wire to several longitudinal wires. The welding equipment is attached to a radial adjustment mechanism (18) which is arranged on a radially adjustable carrier (11). The radial adjustment mechanism has its own drive unit (19) which is located outside of or on the radial adjustment mechanism. An independent claim is included for the continuous production of circular, non-circular, and polygonal reinforcement cages.
