The method for the attaching of a magnet (10) or object of magnetic material to a blank involves the manufacture of a protrusion or recess (3) in a blank (1) by which the magnet or object is fixed on the blank with positive locking, moving the blank in the direction of a fixed mounted auxiliary magnet (13) so that the protrusion or recess reaches into the magnetic field extending from the auxiliary magnet, attaching a magnet or object onto the blank in front of the protrusion or recess, and moving of the blank from magnetic field extending from the auxiliary magnet. An independent claim is included for a magnetic fastening for a blank whereby a magnet is fixed on an object by the magnetic forces acting between the object and the magnet.
