Flat gasket e.g. cylinder head gasket (1) for internal combustion engine has at least two layers e.g. metallic layers which are providedwith passages (2), whereby path area (5) is provided between theindividual passages in each case, at least one layer is provided patharea laterally with distant half bead. Other layer has full bead upside of distant half bead whose feet is provided within the range of the two half beads and its maximum within the range between the half bead.
