The unit has two material plies (1, 2) that are connected to each other, where contact surface of the plies are evenly curved and geometrically compactly wound in a spiral shape. The two material plies connected to each other are formed from piezoceramic components. The material plies are arranged in a serial manner, where one of the material plies has a moving section and the another has an attachment section. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a bending unit arrangement comprising bending units (B) a support unit for a piezoelectric bending unit (C) a piezoceramic unit for a piezoelectric bending unit (D) a method of manufacturing a piezoelectric bending unit.
