The demo-aid (1) is for wash basin fittings (2), whereby the wash basin or demonstration plate (4) is fastened to a wall and locating recesses (5) are provided for the feet of the fittings formed as plug-in components (6), and the recesses and feet are equipped with correspondingly formed, inter-fitting demo-cones (10,11). Both demo-cones are designed as hollow truncated cones, and the outer demo-cone (10) has a locking ring (15) pushed on from the cone point (13) and which simultaneously serves as a pull-out lock and as a compression fixing of the demo-cones.
