The dashboard (1) has a front plate (2) with a recess in which an indicating instrument (3) e.g. tachometer is inserted, where the instrument encloses a dial. Projections (4) are formed at the edge of the recess. The projections act as tick marks for the dial in a built in condition of the instrument and fix the dial in the recess. The front plate and the projections are formed as a single piece plastic injection molding part.
