Machine-area-less friction-driven hoist has pillow block bearings (9) mounted near traction sheave (8) on drive machine bed (3). Gear (7) is connected with flanged drive motor (5) overhung with traction sheave shaft. The drive motor is mounted with its drive shaft almost perpendicular to ladder way. The fixing of support medium (11) takes place over the hoist cabin (1).
