The device has a switch (7), which identifies a horizontal position and alignment of the sides of a housing. A control block (8) switches light emitting diodes (4, 4a, 5, 5a) based on the position and alignment data, a preset program, object temperature, and voice/music data such that the diodes illuminate a glass that is provided on the device as a table mat. A different color is generated outside a cover by the diodes (5, 5a).
