The gasket (1) has two layers with a passage opening (2) e.g. combustion chamber passage opening, and screwing through holes (3). Outwardly sealed channels (4, 5) are provided in areas of the passage opening and the respective screwing through hole of one of the layers. A compressible gaseous medium is inserted into the channels and stands in an insertion state, under increased internal pressure.
