The correction hinge has an anchor plate (2) with elongated holes (1) and fitted with brackets (3) which have threadless bores. A threaded pin (5) passed between the brackets is held by nuts (6) and takes a threaded bolt (4) which itself has a threaded bore or plate (4a) with threaded bore at one end. At the other end of the threaded bolt there are nuts (7) which hold the frame so that by adjusting the threaded bolt or one of the nuts it is possible to compensate for irregularity in the horizontal or vertical direction so that the door or window casement can be raised or lowered and any crooked positions can be corrected through the elongated holes.
