The fume hood (1) has a housing (2) containing a fan (5) to create negative pressure in the housing, and an adjustable drawer (4) to enlarge the suction surface relative to the housing. The drawer includes a filter device (12). The filter device is bath-shaped, and forms the underside of the drawer, thereby enlarging the suction cavity.
