The handlebar has an integrated transducer (3) e.g. loudspeaker/microphone for recording structure-borne sound signal from objects e.g. window/door on which the handlebar is fastened. The transducer is connected with a transmission unit transmitting the recorded signals to an external evaluation unit (8). The unit evaluates the recorded signals and outputs an alarm on recognizing the breaking of the window/door based on the evaluation.
