Industrial truck comprises battery case (7) whereby a contact surface (9) is arranged in the base area of the battery case for a battery block (8) and a lateral battery withdrawal opening. The battery block is displaceable in horizontal direction through battery withdrawal opening. The contact surface is tiltable about the longitudinal axis (5) relative to the track surface (3) of the industrial truck.
