The controlled variable is determined in a line of the filter water (18) between the filter section and the filter water tower (53) and is used for dosing regulator (40) and/or auxiliary materials regulators (23, 24, 25). The total concentration of the auxiliary materials (13, 14, 15) and/or conductivity of the filter water and/or color of the filter water are determined by infrared spectroscopy and/or high-pressure fluid chromatography and/or gas chromatography. The correcting variable of the auxiliary material regulator is used for a dosing device. The flow rate of a thick material supply is measured as external reference variable for the auxiliary material regulator. The external reference is scaled by an auxiliary material factor and the correcting variable. The quantitative ratio of different auxiliary materials is described with auxiliary material factor. The auxiliary materials are dosed at different places in the filter water circulation (50). An independent claim is included for regulation device.
