The invention concerns a control valve for a hydraulic power flow, which is under proportional pilot control. The flow controlled by the pilot valve is extracted from the hydraulic power flow itself. In novel design, volumetric flow is measured (16) to determine the pilot control flow from the pilot control valve (7, 7a, 7b). This valve is electrically-actuated, especially via a proportional electromagnet under electronic control (17) with inputs connected to a desired value unit (18) and the measurement sensor unit (16).
