The engine has two pistons (40, 46) revolving in housing (12) around a rotational axis, in which end surfaces of the pistons face each other. The pistons are arranged in an operating chamber that is not perpendicular to the rotational axis but lies on the rotational axis. Centrifugal forces arising due to revolution of the pistons act in the pivoting direction of the pistons during revolution of the pistons.
