Flow meter has a measuring cylinder (12) with a measuring plunger (14) movably arranged in the measuring cylinder. In the measuring cylinder, a liquid supply line (22,24) opens, and from it a liquid discharge line (34,36) discharge. A selector valve (20,32) is arranged in the liquid supply line or in the liquid discharge line. A means is arranged in the measuring cylinder for collecting first and second measuring position of the measuring plunger.
