The device has three pins (3, 4) forming a passage for a line, where the pins (4) are arranged on a side of the passage and the pin (3) is arranged on the other side. The pins (3, 4) are shiftably arranged in a passage direction, where a length of the pins is larger than half diameter of the line, and a diagonal distance between two of the pins is larger than or equal to a diameter of the line. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement of a retaining device and a line.
