The hydraulic control valve is designed as a seat valve so that the through flow between an inflow (2), chamber (3) and outflow (4) of a controlled chamber (5) can be controlled through a valve seat (6) by a piston (7) with valve cone (24). Both sides of the piston have the same biased cross-sectional surface area and both sides are connected through a connection (11) in the piston to the chamber for force compensation. A control edge (14) in the controlled chamber is assigned a control web (13) of the adjustable piston and has grooves (15) for a through control. The control valve is designed as a cartridge valve.
