The method involves propagating data in the nodes (A-F) within a defined target area (2) of a mobile ad hoc network (1) as broadcast message. The service life of the propagated data is assigned in advance. Each node is provided with a positioning unit for defining the target area in the network. A list of neighboring nodes is attached to the propagated broadcast message, such that the broadcast message is widely propagated to be received by the neighboring nodes not included in the list.
