The method involves arranging pole shells (9.1, 9.2) in a pipe (3), and a single-component adhesive inserted into the pipe. The pole shells are inserted into the pipe using the adhesive and are pressed against the adhesive. The adhesive is hardened by the pipe and the pole shells. The pipe is rotated before and/or during insertion of the adhesive into the pipe and is heated with the inserted pole shells. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a pole toroid from a pipe.
