The roof vent is formed by a pipe (4) passing in through an opening (3) in a roof tile (2) and fitting into a venting duct (9). The pipe has a collar (5) which sits on the upper end of the outlet pipe (6) which is fixedly connected to the roof tile to fit concentric about the opening in same. The roof tile and outlet pipe can be formed as a prefabricated unit. A seal (7) fits between the upper section of the outlet pipe and the transition to the collar.
