The method involves propelling a pressure machine with several partial aggregates. Stored elements are swiveled over a drive strand and propelled by an engine. The drive strand provides torsional vibrations. The vibration stimulations compensates for a partial aggregate of the elements compensating to be brought in. A multi-color printing machine has an input device (51), a swing-gripper (62), n successively arranged printing elements (52-55) and an arm (56) providing compensation moments for energizing moments of the swing-gripper. The first printing element (52) is brought to a cylinder (57). Additional compensation of a following printing element is provided by the cylinder of the multi-color printing machine. An independent claim is included for a device.
