The device has a hollow screw (1), arranged in a component e.g. vehicle body plate (14), having an attachment flange for attachment at an opening in the body plate. A threaded shaft (2) with internal and external threads is insertable via the opening. A mounting nut (10) is arranged on a side turned away from the flange. A threaded bolt (7) is insertable through the opening, and is operable and rotatably fixed in another component e.g. taillamp (12), to produce the axially adjustable movements of the taillamp in a fixedly screwed-on state of the screw (1).
