The unit has a heating conductor layer (11) with two contact points (22, 24) for contacting electrical connecting cable. The conductor layer comprises a wrinkle free curved contour that corresponds to a surface (32) of an end carrier (30). A temperature sensor is arranged and controlling of the heating unit is based on measured current temperature levels. The heating conducting layer is made of metal and comprises a lattice structure.
