The humidity sensor device has a heating system (16) for heating of a membrane (11) and a temperature sensor arrangement (22) to register the temperature profile during heating of the membrane. There is a control system (43) for controlling the heating system for pulse-like heating of the membrane with a first and at least a second heat pulse (52, 53, 54, 55) of a heat pulse group (50, 51). The first and second heat pulse generate a recordable temperature profile (60, 61, 62, 63) from the temperature sensor arrangement, whilst there is an analysing system (45) for determining a dewpoint (Tp) which is formed either as a component of the humidity sensor device or works together with the sensor device and which compares the first and the second temperature profiles.
