Preparation of ethylenamine comprises continuous reaction of ethylene oxide with ammonia on an inorganic ion-exchanger as a heterogeneous catalyst in an anhydrous condition, where the obtained reaction product consists of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine and triethanolamine in a weight ratio of 80-94:5.9-15:0.1-5, respectively, and continuous reaction of the reaction product with ammonia in the presence of hydrogen and a heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst.
