The device has a fixed transparent protective screen (S) fixed to a head of the person to be protected, such that it is provided before the face of the person. A flexible rubber strip (LA) is fastened to the screen by fastening units and covers the area between a lower edge of the screen i.e. neck area, and the chest area of a person. The screen and strip temporarily endure against the thermal effect emanated by accidental arcing.
