The control deforming process deforms a flat laminated metal sheet (1) in a controlled way, to form a shell with an almost all round or oval or polygonal cross section. Straight grooves (2) are cut in the laminate layer, so that these grooves form bend lines in the subsequent deformation of the sheet, which also has a circumferential groove (6) near the outer edge.
