The pulse width modulated signal generator has an externally clocked digital phase accumulator that is externally parametrically configured using frequency specification words that are variable in the clock time pattern for frequency generation, whereby the binary adder with carry in the phase accumulator forms the 2-PI periodicity of the phase in a suitable manner.
