The contactless spacer and/or depth-measuring instruments are arranged as a laser spacer measuring instruments. The depth-measuring instrument (10) is used for recognition of the depth of the peeling measurer and the spacer (9) is used for measuring distance to the outer circumference of the fruit (3). The fruit is rotated by the rotation device (4) around a rotation axle during the peeling. The rotation axle (7) of the rotation device is arranged coaxially to longitudinal axis of the fruit. The peeling measurer is displaceable by a path control in y and z-direction. The sensor (8) is used for color recognition of the bright cell skin between shell and fruit flesh and is aligned to a sub area of the fruit outside of the peeling area of the peeling measurer (2), the spacer and the depth measuring instruments.
