Process for tempering the contour regions of a casting mold (1) and or a part undergoing casting during the casting process by means of a computer involving withdrawal of a part from the casting mold under guidance of a computer program, determination of part of the total surface of the casting mold, and determination of course lines (3) for coolant pipes (4). An independent claim is included for a casting mold with several coolant pipes.
