The hydraulic press has a work cylinder (22) supported in a pressing frame (4) to apply pressure to a moulding part set in a pressing tool (10). A high pressure fluid flow path which connects the pressure chamber to a cylinder chamber (28) of the work cylinder is formed as a channel arrangement in the pressing frame, preferably in the cross beam (20) of same. The pressing frame is a closed frame which can be moved by the work cylinder relative to a fixed table top (8) which supports a lower pressing tool.
