The device has control units (6, 7) and a motor controlled unit (14) for influencing in a steering direction of a vehicle. The unit (4) executes a full impact of a steering in a predetermined direction depending on the operation of the units (6, 7). The units (6, 7) are provided for steering impact towards left and right. The impact is canceled, when the units (6, 7) are unclasped or locking of the units (6, 7) is released. An independent claim is also included for a method of executing an automatic full impact of a vehicle steering.
