The steering device has an actuating device (3,4) along with a limiting device (11) provided for limiting of the maximum adjustable steering angle to different values. The limiting device is arranged such that the steering angle is limited depending upon the driving conditions of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for the method of adjustment of the steering angle.
