The snow clearance device (1) is fitted between a vehicle (4) and a snow plough attached to the front. It has a belt brush running in almost a parallel direction to the ground to be cleared. Bristle parts (13), which are either L-, T-, or V-shaped, are fastened to a toothed belt on the belt brush, which push the material to be cleared aside, crosswise to the travelling path of the vehicle. The device can be tilted along a horizontal axis, so that only the bristles form a front rotational side (55) of the belt brush on the ground. The ground so cleared (15) in most cases need no further treatment.
