A filtering assembly (20) receiving light from switch (30), blocks orientation of color band, or transforms each of three color bands between orthogonal or vertical orientations. A switch is switched between two states to retain the orientation of three color bands between the two orientations. The switching states are synchronized such that light is output with predetermined color and polarization sequence. An independent claim is also included for incident light transformation method.
