The electromechanical parking brake has an electromechanical actuator (15) on a wheel carrier and a floating expanding lock (2) acting on two brake shoes (3, 4). There is a support device (14) between the brake shoes. The brake shoes have four brake linings (9, 9', 10, 10'), of which the two for the support device are thicker than those for the expanding lock.
